A short update in the aftermath of my trip.
It’s been roughly a month since I came back to Louisville from the road. And it was a much-needed break after a month of constantly driving, sleeping in my car and showering in gym showers. Not nearly as neat and glamorous as one would have assumed pre-trip.
Anyway, after thinking a lot about it, I’ve decided to move to Boise, Idaho. It may seem off the course of what most people assume the “west” is, but to me, it’s exactly what I wanted in terms of city size, beautiful scenery, near the mountains, affordable, and people that I could see myself connecting with. It’s also kind of near everything out west. Beaches, National Parks galore, and some of the biggest cities in the country are all within a half-a-day drive.
I’ve acknowledged several times that I think I’ll end up moving more in my life, but for now, this is where I’ll set up a home base. I’ll be heading out after the holidays and starting the new year fresh in a different timezone.
Thanks to everyone who read my adventure, asked about it, or just listened to me when I was making decisions. It really means a lot to me that people cared enough about it to be invested, and I can’t wait to create more adventures for myself.
